Download Windows 8 Developers Preview

It’s a great day for Windows enthusiastic and developers, Microsoft has released  Windows 8 Developers Preview after the Windows 8 Build developers conference. Windows 8 is built on the foundation of Windows 7, with  improvements in performance, security, privacy and system reliability. Windows also 8 reduces the memory footprint that works on the lowest-end hardware.

The Windows Developer Preview is a pre-beta version of Windows 8 for developers. There are couple of version that is made available for download.


System Requirements

  •     1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  •     1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  •     16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  •     DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
  •     Taking advantage of touch input requires a screen that supports multi-touch

If your planning to install just for testing try it on a Virtual Machine. Few users has been reported that VMWare was giving them lot of errors.
