Use your HTC EVO as Desktop CPU
Yes you read the title correct. You could use your HTC EVO as a Desktop with CyanogenMod 7. Thanks to XDA Developer Lokifish Marz for this amazing work to make this happen.
There are lot of tool that would kind of help you to use desktop functions but Lokifish have put all the tools together to a single package deskEVO. The software’s we have to install are
- CM7
- mouseUpdate_signed.zip at the bottom of the page
- Google Apps
- FullHDMI OR HDMwIn Custom Keyboard Map
- xScope Browser (Optional but needed if you want a more Desktop UI browsing experience)
- Desktop Theme for xScope
- LCDDensity for Root
- Null Keyboard
- Android Seven Lite (Optional)
- Documents To Go (Optional but suggested for better file editing)
And the Hardware we need are
- Dell Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Bundle (it’s really a Logitech for $30!!!)
- HDMI or DVI-D Display
- HDMI Cable (HDMI to DVI adapter for DVI displays)
Visit his website http://members.cox.net/lokifish/Gallery.html or XDA thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038840 for more information and how –to-guide.
